Wouldn't it be great if someone could come up with a fantastic idea for raising money for Youth Brass that didn't involve doing anything different to what we do anyway? Well, believe it or not, someone has!
It is a website search engine called Everyclick.com
How many times a day do you use a search engine to find something on the web? 5, 10, 20, 30? Using this website, each time you do a search through Everyclick you raise up to 2p for Youth Brass! It works like this. First of all you have to register with Everyclick, which then remembers which computer you are registered with. If you only have one computer in your house, only one person need register - each time anybody uses that computer through Everyclick, the money will clock up whoever is using it! Each time you do a search using Everyclick, up to 2p gets donated into a central fund which gets split up each month amongst all the charities registered with Everyclick! How much each charity gets depends on how many users are registered for that particular charity - the more that are registered, the more we get!
What's the catch? Basically, there isn't one! Everyclick does make it's money through advertising, but it doesn't send you popups or implant nasty cookies on your computer. The advertising is restricted to its own site, and is very low-key.
So - there we are - it couldn't be easier! Go to www.everyclick.com now, register yourself as a user with Youth Brass 2000 and get searching! Let's get everyone in the band on board! Also, try and persuade friends and relatives to register as well - it costs absolutely nothing!
